Challenging times, creative solutions.
Transforming a liability into an asset: The 128 North Avenue Medical Building
Situation: When this building was taken over in the same foreclosure as The 131 Ponce de Leon Avenue
Building, it was a vacant, unattractive shell on a badly broken concrete slab.
Solution: The Brun Company recommended to the owner that the exterior be substantially redesigned, and
the building marketed to the medical community. The building was fully leased and occupied within six months of the initial
renovations to the exterior. The Brun Company worked with the new tenants in the design and construction of the special heating
and air conditioning and electrical and plumbing systems needed for their medical practices. The building is now solely
occupied by one of the most prominent urological practices in the city. The Brun Company also assisted the same urology group
in its expansion into the 131 Ponce de Leon Avenue Building, for an outpatient surgical center. Both in the redevelopment of
the 128 North Avenue Building for medical office space, and in the expansion of the urology practice, The Brun Company worked
closely with tenant and contractors on complex medical construction issues.
